Same program. Same output. Or refuse.

Write once across the language catalog. Every supported seat prints the same stdout — or CuNi refuses the path. Studio can prove exactness; Rider seats are where you execute.

What CuNi is

CuNi is a programming language with one hard rule: write your code once, and it either behaves exactly the same in every language it builds for — or it refuses to build at all.

Here is why that matters. A program written in Python and the “same” program rewritten in JavaScript are never quite the same program. Tiny differences creep in: how numbers round, how text is handled, what happens at the edges. Most of the time nobody notices. Then money or data is on the line, and a rounding difference becomes a real loss.

CuNi eliminates that whole class of problem. You write one source file. CuNi can turn it into 53 catalog targets — the top 50 languages plus 3 onchain profiles, including Python, JavaScript, Rust, C, Go, and onchain emitters for ink!, Move, Vyper, Cairo, Clarity, and Cadence. Before it hands you any of them, cuni check emits and runs every target: byte-identical stdout, or it refuses the path.

Two types carry the exactness. dec is fixed-point decimals — scale 10^4, truncation toward zero, no float anywhere. time is int64 unix epochs, UTC only, strict ISO-8601. And cuni audit lets you state a money law once and prove a foreign implementation matches byte-for-byte; the proof files as a signed Ed25519 receipt.

The refusal is the product. Other tools try to paper over differences. CuNi treats a difference as a failed build.

This is why CuNi pairs with Agent Rider. Agents that write and run code across systems cannot tolerate “close enough.” Prove exactness on CuNi when you want the receipt; execute on open Rider seats either way. Rider’s require-PASS gate is off today — seats still run without a citizen PASS.

Shared Spine: Our compression doors share one TNSSRC Shared Spine (board stamp 43.72M). Cash face /pcc — PCC is the lossless compressor only. CuNi is exactness across languages, not a compression door.

CuNi exactness

Write once. Same stdout on every seat — or refuse. Studio is free.

Fund

Rider settle / XPay

Spend and caps are on Rider seats (settle / XPay / Warrant). CuNi does not take payment for Execute.

Honesty: Rider’s require-PASS flag (CUNI_STUDIO_PASS_REQUIRED) stays off until CoS re-smokes it. We are not claiming a live citizen PASS gate on Rider. Check exactness here when you want the proof; execute on Rider either way.

Four pillars

1

Write once

One .cuni across a 53-entry catalog. Native seats run native; others emit and lower until they are.

2

Same stdout, or refuse

Every supported seat must print the same gold. If stdout would drift, CuNi stops and does not publish.

3

Bank: paste N, get X

Paste N→X: deposit with --from py|cuni, emit another catalog id, then prove. Tag cuni-bank-0.1.0. UI /bank · API POST /api/bank.

4

Check exactness

Studio POST /api/pass is live on the py / go / js gate — PASS or refuse, no soft pass. Rider require-PASS (CUNI_STUDIO_PASS_REQUIRED) is off today; seats still run either way.

How it works

  1. Write a .cuni program once.
  2. Check and emit across the catalog — same stdout, or refuse.
  3. Optional: Bank paste N → emit X → prove.
  4. Optional: Studio POST /api/pass (py / go / js) — exactness PASS or refuse.
  5. Use the program on Rider seats when you are ready (Rider does not currently require the PASS receipt).

Native seats today: py, go, js, ts, c, cpp, rs, rb, lua, sol. Protocol: cuni-protocol.json (install v0.10.0 · 53 targets).

Honesty: Studio /api/pass is live. Rider’s require-PASS env (CUNI_STUDIO_PASS_REQUIRED) is unset/off until CoS greens Fly — prove on CuNi when you want the receipt; execute on Rider either way.

What it is

A language of exactness. You write one .cuni source. The catalog holds 53 entries — the top 50 languages plus 3 onchain profiles — with emitters for ink!, Move, Vyper, Cairo, Clarity, and Cadence. If stdout would drift, CuNi refuses — no soft PASS, no approximate. Software already exists in more languages than teams can keep honest — CuNi sells the proof that they match.

Future use (not live yet): a tiny runtime that lands on any OS and emits the local seat; pricing and license rules printed into every language a company ships; CI that fails when Go and Python would disagree.

Check exactness on CuNi. Then use Rider seats.
