TRUSTREAM · Door 3 · live logs on your PCC plan
Pack the stream as it arrives.
TRUSTREAM compresses live logs, traces, and telemetry in 4 KiB tiles. Quiet tiles shrink. Busy tiles keep their size so the stream stays honest. Playback is the original bytes, in order.
Included with PCC.
What TRUSTREAM is
TRUSTREAM is compression for live data streams instead of files. Logs, traces, and telemetry flow through it in small 4 KB tiles as they arrive. Quiet stretches — the long runs of zeros and repetition that fill most logs — pack down small. Busy stretches pass through untouched, so the stream stays honest. Playback gives you the original bytes, in order.
Here is why that matters. Log volume grows faster than disk prices fall, and most teams pay three times over: to ingest it, to index it, and to keep it. A stream packer turns retention from a cost cliff into a feature — keep everything, pay for the packed size. The archive your auditors and your models both need gets dramatically cheaper to own.
Each tile goes through a short pipeline: the easy patterns first, then the math, then phrase matching, then storage. The cheap wins are tried before the expensive ones, so the stream keeps up in real time. And because it is lossless, a replayed event is the exact event — byte for byte.
It rides your PCC plan: the first 2 GB a month free, then 8¢ per GB, or PCC Pro at $39 a month with 200 GB included. One meter for your files and your streams.
It is aimed at agent fleets that log every tool call, observability stacks exporting packed telemetry, and on-device recorders — cars, drones, robots — that flush packed traces when they dock.
What it is
A streaming compressor. Grain is 4 KiB. Pipeline on each tile: ZERO → MATH → PHRASE → STORE. Quiet tiles pack small. Busy tiles keep their size so the stream stays honest. Restore is the original bytes in order.
It rides the PCC meter: first 2 GB/month free, then 8¢/GB, or PCC Pro at $39/month with 200 GB included. Included with PCC.
Future use
- Agent fleets that log every tool call without drowning object storage.
- SIEM vendors that store years of telemetry at packed size and replay exact events for audit.
- Observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, journald, cloudwatch) with a packed export lane.
- On-device black boxes in cars, drones, and robots that flush packed traces when they dock.
- Live training traces for models — same bytes the agent saw, cheaper to keep.
Market
Log volume grows faster than disk prices fall. Teams already pay to ingest, index, and retain. A lossless stream packer turns retention from a cost cliff into a product feature: keep everything, pay for packed tiles. Whoever owns the packed pipe owns the archive the lawyers and the models both need.
